Reviews and Ratings
Staying at Curwen House in Salem Inn was a unique experience. The decor was great, beds were luxurious and comfy, and the European shower was a pleasant surprise. However, the night noises were a bit disturbing.
I had a wonderful stay at this historic New England inn! The rooms were clean, smelled great, and had that cozy character that made relaxing with friends and a glass of wine in the evening even more special. The service was top-notch, always accommodating and welcoming. The location was perfect, allowing us to easily explore all the attractions on foot. The dining experience was exceptional, offering the best free hotel breakfast I've ever had.
The hotel had attractive and quiet rooms with a fireplace and a huge whirlpool bathtub that I really enjoyed. However, the rooms were not straightened and cleaned adequately. The service was pleasant, with friendly and accommodating staff. The location was astounding, within walking distance to everything. The dining experience was by far the best complimentary breakfast I've had at a hotel. The facilities were well done, providing a nice perk for the guests.
My stay at the hotel was lovely. The rooms were large and really nice, and I enjoyed a generous, hot, sit-down breakfast each morning followed by a sherry nightcap. However, accessing the rooms through two sets of narrow stairs could be challenging for those with mobility issues.
The hotel is situated excellently in Salem, close to all the attractions, with a beautiful area to stroll around and learn about the local history. The rooms were clean and updated, though a bit cold even with a fire. The service was exceptional, with helpful and friendly staff accommodating all requests. The dining experience was excellent with a nice selection. Overall, a great spot for exploring Salem with some minor room temperature issues.
The Curwen House is a cozy place with an amazing old fireplace that added a charm to our stay. The room cost us $260 for one night, and despite being incredibly hot even with the heat turned off, it was a unique experience sleeping naked!
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The rooms were incredibly comfortable and stylish, making me feel more like I was in a home than a hotel. However, there were some noise disturbances, including running footsteps above our room. The service was excellent overall, with friendly staff who made delightful omelettes and provided helpful reminders. The central location allowed for easy access to restaurants and attractions, enhancing my overall experience. The dining experience was decent, although I wished for a bit more variety. The facilities were satisfactory, providing everything needed for a pleasant stay.
